1. Overview
Haul Network sends transactional SMS messages only to customers and haulers who have voluntarily opted in. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and SMS consent is never required to use Haul.
2. How customers opt in
Customers provide their phone number during booking. Below the phone number field is an optional, unchecked checkbox requesting SMS consent. Customers must actively check the box to receive text messages.
The exact consent language shown at booking is:
"I would like to receive text message updates about my booking, including scheduling updates, hauler arrival notifications, payment confirmations, and customer support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance."
Booking can be completed without SMS consent — customers who do not opt in still receive all booking confirmations and updates via email.
3. Message types
Customers may receive:
- Booking confirmations
- Scheduling updates
- Hauler assignment notifications
- En route updates
- Job completion confirmations
- Payment confirmations
- Customer support messages
Haulers may receive:
- New job opportunities
- Dispatch notifications
- Schedule changes
- Job reminders
- Payment notifications
4. Opt-out
Customers and haulers may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from Haul. We will send a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further SMS messages will be sent.

7. Carrier disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply. Supported on all major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Consent
SMS consent is:
- Optional
- Never pre-selected
- Separate from the Terms of Service
- Collected through an affirmative, unchecked checkbox
SMS consent and phone numbers collected for SMS communications are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
9. Hauler Messaging
Haulers opt in to operational SMS during onboarding using a separate, unchecked checkbox located directly below the phone number field. SMS consent is optional, never pre-selected, and entirely separate from the Independent Contractor Agreement and these Terms.
Haulers who opt in may receive operational messages such as:
- New job opportunities
- Dispatch notifications
- Job reminders
- Schedule changes
- Payment notifications
- Platform account notices
Haulers who do not opt in still receive every operational notification by email and may complete onboarding without checking the box.
